AUL Representatives Attend Meeting with Turkish Actors at Yunus Emre Institute
As part of the 8th Türkiye–Azerbaijan Turkish Film Days, a meeting with Turkish actors was held at the Yunus Emre Institute. Representatives of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) — staff members of the Center for Turkic World Studies and students of the Faculty of Philology — took part in the event.
Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Center for Turkic World Studies, Jalal Ibrahimli, highlighted the importance AUL students attach to intercultural dialogue and cooperation.
The 8th Türkiye–Azerbaijan Turkish Film Days, held in Baku from September 26 to 30, was officially opened with a gala night at the Nizami Cinema Center on September 26. This year’s guest of honor was renowned Turkish actress, “Yeşilçam” star, and member of the Presidential Council for Culture and Arts Policy of Türkiye, Hülya Koçyiğit.
The film days were organized with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Embassy of Türkiye in Azerbaijan, and were realized by the Yerli Düşüncə Society. The main goal of the project was to strengthen cultural ties between the two brotherly nations. Within the framework of the film days, audiences were presented with selected works of Turkish cinema.
