AUL Representatives Participate in International Summit
With the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and the international ranking organization Times Higher Education (THE), the “THE Eurasia Universities Summit” was held in Baku.
The summit, held on September 24–25, focused this year on the theme “Transnational Research: From Knowledge to Global Impact.” The Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) was represented by Vice-Rector for International Relations Jala Garibova; Associate Professor of the Department of English Stylistics, PhD in Philology, Afaq Eminli; Senior Lecturer of the same department, Narmin Mustafayeva; and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Literature of the Country of Specialization, PhD in Philology, Leyla Gojayeva.
The AUL representatives took part in various panel discussions and workshops within the framework of the summit. Among the sessions they contributed to were “Masterclass: Using THE Impact Rankings for Sustainable Development for Universities in Central Asia and the Caucasus,” “The Contribution of Quality Assurance to Universities’ Sustainable Development Goals,” and “How Universities Influence the Development of Social Innovation.”
The summit brought together over 300 participants from more than 20 countries, including representatives of more than 150 higher education institutions and over 50 international and local speakers. Discussions centered on global research collaborations, the contribution of Eurasian universities to socio-economic development, and the role of higher education in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
