On September 15, 2025, the first Azerbaijani language class was held at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), one of the oldest higher education institutions in Hungary. This marks an important milestone as it is the beginning of Azerbaijani language instruction at a Hungarian university. The class was organized at the initiative of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture Center, established within the framework of cooperation between Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) and ELTE University.

The inaugural lesson was taught by Azerbaijani language instructor Fərqanə Bayramlı. Hungarian students who attended the class showed great interest in the Azerbaijani language, its history, and its rich culture. They emphasized their eagerness to learn the language and to gain a deeper understanding of Azerbaijani culture.

This development not only strengthens educational and cultural ties between the two countries but also contributes to further consolidating friendship and cooperation between our peoples.
