A round table discussion dedicated to the book entitled “The President of the Azerbaijan Republic on the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism” was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages

A round table dedicated to the book entitled “President of the Azerbaijan Republic on the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism” organized by the Student Scientific Society (SSS) was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages on April the 24th.

The chair of the Student Scientific Society Lamia Mugalova stated that multicultural values, which have been enhanced through the ages, have undergone a great experience during the rule of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. She also mentioned the fact that Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism is studied at an international level.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs Sarraf Huseynov mentioned that one can find a lot of interesting thoughts and quotes on multicultural values as well as the specific peculiarities of the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism attributed by the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev in the book entitled “The President of the Azerbaijan Republic on the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism”. Sarraf Huseynov also highlighted the importance of having this book published in three languages and underlined the fact that multiculturalism has already become the state policy of our country.

The dean of the Faculty International Relations and Management associate professor Ibrahim Kazimbeyli stressed the importance of offering a course on “The President of the Azerbaijan Republic on the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism” at different Higher Institutions. He stated that Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism is highly appreciated in the world and that people of our country have chosen multiculturalism as their lifestyle.

At the end, a first-year student of the Faculty of International Relations and Management Gunay Sadigli and second-year student at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism Sevinj Masimova gave presentations dedicated to multiculturalism.
