AUL students took part in the theater festival "Pillə 3"
On May 26, within the framework of the festival of student performances "Pillə 3" students of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) performed on the stage of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (ASUCA) with Uzeir Hajibeyli's musical comedy "Arshin mal alan".
The performance of AUL students was distinguished by both the content and the form of the production, causing great interest among the audience and the jury. It is noted that participation in such events contributes to the development of not only students' creative skills, but also their language and presentation abilities.
Together with AUL, students of other universities took part in the festival. It was emphasized that such events are of particular importance for the popularization of theatrical art among young people and the strengthening of cultural ties between higher education institutions.
It was also emphasized, that such an approach contributes not only to the development of language training of students, but also plays an important role in the promotion of national cultural heritage in the international arena.
The festival, held for the third time, aims to inspire students, give them a real celebration of art, support young talents and activate the theatrical process. The jury of the festival included teachers of the Department of Theater Studies of ASUCA. The winners in the nominations "Best Performance", "Best Actor", "Best Actress" were awarded.
It should be noted that the performance was prepared in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated January 11, 2024 "On the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Uzeir Hajibeyli". The author of the idea of the production is AUL Rector, academician Kamal Abdulla. Director - Esmar Gabibli, artistic director - Saadat Nabieva, musical designers - Sevinj Abdullayeva and Huseyn Magomedoglu, choreographer - Jamila Velieva. The performance was presented in English.
