The Agreement between Confucius Institute of AUL and ASUCA

An agreement on cooperation between Confucius Institute operating at the AUL and Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (the ASUCA) on May 24. The main objective of the agreement is to expand cooperation was signed between Azerbaijan and China in the field of culture and art, to develop bilateral relations, to train cadres in the field of culture and art, to activate educational relations, as well as to exchange students and teachers, to explore the historical and artistic values ​​of the two nations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the acting rector of the ASUCA, Prof. Valida Mammadova dwelt on the university's creative activity and noted that it preserves traditions in music, theater and decorative-applied arts, art criticism, culturology and other fields.

The Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vey Jinhua expressed his satisfaction for the development of education in culture and art in Azerbaijan, stressing the importance of strengthening humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

Professor Rafig Abbasov, Director of the Confucius Institute, spoke of the implementation of joint programs on studying and propagating the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan and China by the Confucius Institute. He also highlighted the significance of the agreement on culture and cooperation signed between the two countries during the visit of the nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev to China.

At the end of the event, the collaborators of Confucius Institute and students of the ASUCA performed a concert program and some national Chinese songs on traditional Chinese instruments were sounded. Women clothes pieces in Chinese style were demonstrated at the fashion show "China - kingdom of flowers" organized by designer students of the ASUCA.
