Chronicle of Student Activities in the "One-Day Caliph" Project at ADU
On December 13, students of Azerbaijan University of Languages (ADU) began their duties under the "One-Day Caliph" project. ADU students were given the opportunity to manage 39 positions for one day.
The "One-Day Caliph" project has been organized at the university since 2017. Within the framework of the project, caliphs selected by students through voting manage the university's leadership structures for a day. On this day, students, master's students, and doctoral students take on roles such as rector, vice-rectors, deans, and heads of departments. They make decisions regarding the teaching process and administrative matters, implementing a range of innovations throughout the day.
The decisions made by students holding leadership positions on this day have full legal force. According to the decision of Rector Academician Kamal Abdulla, on the "One-Day Caliph" student self-governance day, students, master's students, and doctoral students who hold these positions from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM will receive the salary corresponding to the role they perform.
