The Center for Artificial Intelligence, operating under the Azerbaijan University of Languages, is a scientific and innovative platform aimed at integrating artificial intelligence technologies with language education, the humanities, and student-oriented research in our country. Our center was established in response to the growing interest in the field of artificial intelligence and the serious scientific activity being carried out in this direction, and it implements projects that combine modern technologies with humanitarian knowledge.

Our center was officially founded as a scientific center called "Artificial Intelligence and Humanities" on the basis of the Academic Council of the Azerbaijan University of Languages' meeting protocol No. 05 dated 27.11.2025, by Order No. 11 of the Rector, academician Kamal Abdullayev, dated 19.01.2026. This step aims to enrich the scientific activity carried out by our university in the field of studying and researching foreign languages with artificial intelligence technologies.

 

Our Mission

 

The mission of our center is to ensure the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the teaching process and, through this, to accelerate digitalization processes at our university. We view the teaching of proper, responsible, and ethical use of artificial intelligence as a priority area, because mastering how to use this technology correctly is just as important as harnessing its power. In addition, our center aims to explore the philosophical foundations of the human–artificial intelligence relationship and to understand the humanitarian and moral dimensions of this interaction. Finally, providing comprehensive support to our students' academic lives and strengthening their scientific research and personal development processes with modern technologies are among our core priorities.

 

What We Do

 

• Development of web and mobile applications — We design and develop web and mobile applications based on artificial intelligence models that have practical significance for our students and university staff
• Creation of a language model for ancient Turkic languages — We are working on a dedicated language model aimed at exploring the linguistic richness of ancient Turkic languages through artificial intelligence and passing it on to future generations
• Digitization of ancient Turkic literature — We are converting ancient Turkic literary texts into digital format to preserve our national-cultural heritage and increase its accessibility
• International cooperation — We carry out joint projects with foreign universities in the field of artificial intelligence and participate in experience-exchange programs
• Training and seminars — We regularly organize training sessions and seminars to teach students the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its practical applications
