The Section of the International Conference Dedicated to the National Leader’s 95th Jubilee in Kiev
Azerbaijan University of Languages holds the I International Scientific Conference “HEYDAR ALIYEV: Multiculturalism and the Ideology of Tolerance” dedicated to the 95th Jubilee of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev with the support of the New Azerbaijan Party and Baku International Centre of Multiculturalism. The sections of the conference have been organized on the basis of the Universities of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Russia, China, Ukraine, Belorussia and Georgia.
The sections of the conference in different countries have started their work.
The session of the first section of the Conference has been held at Ural Federal University after B.Yeltsin on the theme “The Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan Is the First Democratic Republic in the East”.
On 12 April Kiev National Linguistics University held the section on “Heydar Aliyev’s Role in the Development of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Relations” of the I International Scientific Conference dedicated to the 95th Jubilee of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The session of the section was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Azer Khudiyev, the staff members of the Embassy, the representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora institutions in Ukraine as well as the Science and Education Adviser of the Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages Associate Professor Seyfal Hasanov, the Dean of Education Faculty Professor Fikrat Jahangirov, alongside with the leadership of Kiev National Linguistics University and its Faculty.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Azer Khudiyev, who greeted the conference, gave a speech on the place and role of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the history of our country, the past and present of the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations as well as their perspectives.
The Rector of the University, Professor R.V.Vasko, who spoke at the session, underlined in his speech that Heydar Aliyev’s memory is cherished in Ukraine too. The Rector stated that this great historical figure’s contributions to the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations are enormous. The speakers pointed out Heydar ALiyev’s role in the formation of the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian – interstate relations as well as in the development of science, culture and education between the two countries.
The Vice-rector on Education and International Relations of Kiev National Linguistics University Professor I.I.Seryakova, the Dean of the Eastern Studies Faculty Associate Professor A.V.Sorokin, the teacher of the Department of Turkology I.A.Shikhizadeh, the leader of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization in Ukraine I.Allahverdiyeva as well as the students O.R.Ilchenko, K.Ch.Azizova, G.M.Varvadyuk and others spoke of Heydar Aliyev’s exceptional merits in the consolidation and development of multiculturalism in society, its turning into a part of the state policy.
