Kamal Abdulla met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela
On December 3, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Venezuela for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania Tatiana Josephine Pue Moreno, Coordinator of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Osvaldo Enrique Gonzalez Vázquez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Venezuela to Azerbaijan Mr. Christopher Alberto Martinez, Counselor of the Embassy Isida Lessman Escobar were guests of the Azerbaijan University of Languages.
AUL rector, academician Kamal Abdulla greeted the guests and expressed his pleasure to see them at the university.
It was noted that in recent years, close economic, political, scientific and cultural ties have been established between Azerbaijan and Venezuela: "Venezuela is a very beautiful country and people close to us in spirit. If we trace our history, we will see that there are many common points. It also gives us the courage to get out of the complex upheavals of the modern world together. I hope your visit will serve as an impetus for the development of our ties with the universities of Venezuela. Establishing links between universities is quite an important issue. We asked the Ambassador to act as a mediator in the establishment of scientific, cultural ties between our university and universities operating in Venezuela. Having concluded the contract, we will be able to achieve a mutual exchange of students and teachers. The establishment of such relations will provide opportunities for communication not only for our students, but also for our intelligentsia, poets, writers, cultural figures working in our countries".
The meeting discussed the opening of the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture in one of the universities of Venezuela: "In the center of the Spanish language operating at AUL, we study the history, culture and literature of Venezuela, and often meet with cultural figures. The presence of a structure representing Azerbaijani culture, history and literature in Venezuela will be an important contribution to our relations."
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, the guest spoke about the successes achieved by Azerbaijan in recent years.
Tatiana Josephine Pue Moreno noted that the economic, political, scientific and cultural development of Azerbaijan is manifested at the international level.
The guests received detailed information about the centers representing the cultures and languages of foreign countries operating at AUL.
The meeting continued with discussions on further scientific cooperation, and implementation of student exchange programs.
Then the guests met with Spanish-speaking students.
