Meeting with the foreign students, who would soon study here within the framework of Azerbaijani Language CLS program, took place at the Azerbaijan University of Foreign Languages (AUL) under the organizational support of the American Centre.

Rector of Azerbaijan University of Foreign Languages, Academician Kamal Abdullayev told he was pleased to welcome the program participants at the University.

Rector had a talk with the students about the richness of Azerbaijani language and culture, and then he asked them about their language skills. K. Abdullayev also spoke of the world literature, of the importance of speaking foreign languages in modern society and of the role Azerbaijan played among other countries of the world:-“Azerbaijan is a young, rapidly developing independent state. The progress has been made in every sphere. Cultural, economic and social fields of the country are growing fast thus showing a huge potential of Azerbaijan and its proper use by the Government of the country. You will see the people of different regions of Azerbaijan, always maintaining brotherly relations”.

According to Azerbaijani language CLS program, foreign students will be attending the University for 8 weeks. Besides learning Azerbaijani language, they will also visit districts of Azerbaijan to get to know the local culture, customs and traditions.
