On May 29, in the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL),  took place a presentation of books "Geography of Argentina" and "Ethnography of Argentina" of Regional Studies department and "Economy of Argentina" of department of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Faculty of  International Relations and Management within the framework of the "Ambassador's Hour" project.

The event was attended by The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to Azerbaijan Sergio Osvaldo Perez Gunella, Vice-Rector for International Relations of AUL  Professor Jala Garibova, deans, heads of departments, professors and teachers, students of the Faculty of International Relations and Management.

Professor Jala Garibova noted that she was pleased to welcome the ambassador to the university and stressed that AUL over the years has been working closely with the Embassy of Argentina. Noting that education in the Argentina Studies specialty is being successfully continued, J.Garibova underlined that relations with universities of Argentina were established with the support of the embassy.

The Ambassador Sergio Osvaldo Perez Gunella expressed his confidence in further strengthening and development of relations between the Embassy of Argentina and the Azerbaijan University of Languages. The guest of honor praised the work of the departments on the publication of books about Argentina. Speaking about the similarities between Azerbaijan and Argentina, the Ambassador spoke about bilateral relations.

Head of the Department of Regional Studies, Associate Professor Sevdagul Aliyeva spoke about a project on the preparation of books about Argentina in the Azerbaijani language. Associate Professor Agil Shahmuradov  provided detailed information about the book "Ethnography of Argentina", teacher Sevinj Gurbanova about the book "Geography of Argentina", head of the Spanish Language Center Nargiz Madatova about the book "Economy of Argentine " by Kamala Yusifova, the senior teacher of the Philosophy and Social Sciences Department.

The presented books are intended for students and undergraduates specializing in regional studies and international relations, as well as  for a wide range of readers who want to get information about this country.

Later, Ambassador of Argentina Sergio Osvaldo Perez Gunella met with students  within the framework of the "Ambassador's Hour" project.

At the meeting, the ambassador spoke about the geography, history, official language, territory, population and climate of Argentina. Speaking about the different nations living in the country, Argentina's position on the global scale, the ambassador pointed out the main facts about the country.

Then the ambassador answered the questions of the students.
