Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Academician Kamal Abdullayev met with the students, participating in the final game of Baku Youth Debates Forum within the framework of the “XIX Republican Youth Debates Forum” project.

Highly appreciating the initiative, skills and the intellectual level of students, Rector wished them to succeed in their further activities.

Kamal Abdullayev talked of the importance of debates for the students and noted that public exchange of views promotes the communicative competence development.

Students expressed their gratitude to Rector for his care and attention to their activities.

“XIX Republican Youth Debates Forum: Spring 2019” project is being realized within the frame of the national “Debates” program under the financial support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and with the organizational activities of the Public Union “Debate in Civil society”.

The debates were held by 32 teams, and about 120 speakers from the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Baku Engineering University, Sumgait State University took part in them.

“DeBabat” and ”Dereprobates” teams of AUL took part in the final game of the Forum.

AUL student Sevinj Aliyeva was chosen as the 2^nd best speaker, Ayten Jabrailova was the 4^th, Elshad Gashimov - the 6^th, Lamiya Ahmedzadeh was the 8^th one among the best speakers at Baku Youth Debates Forum.
