An event was held by the Centre of the Japanese Studies of Azerbaijan University of Languages on the art of Mizuhiki, a classic Japanese art. The event was conducted by Hideki Nakane, a Japanese professional in the art of Mizuhiki. She gave students comprehensive information about the Mizuhiki art and prepared a flower ornament with them. It should be noted that Mizuhiki art is an art, which used by special knots. The knots of different shapes are used as decorations on hairstyles and kimono. Knots are regarded to be bad or pleasant depending on their forms. The 90 cm long threads are produced from rice.
