The jubilee of the great Indian poet was celebrated in the Centre of the Indian Language and Culture of Azerbaijan University of Languages. The ceremony of celebration was led by the head of the Centre Səidə Mirzəyevə and Tofiq Vəliyev, a student.

Dunay, Atilla and Altay Mahmudovs performed jointly a poem of Rabindranath Tagore called “Mother, lovely mother!

Besides, the members of “Sangat Club” Ülkər, Könül and Sevinc danced under the accompaniment of the music of Tagore.

 Zəhra and Rəşid, students of the Indian Studies delivered a lecture and displayed a short film devoted to Rabindranath Tagore.

Professor Əsgər Zeynalov and Sinhaya, second secretary of the Indian Embassy to Azerbaijan spoke of the creative activity of the poet.
