On April 18, 2019, the Chair of the Caucasian Studies in the Faculty of International Relations and Management and Research Laboratory of the Azerbaijani Studies of Azerbaijan University of Languages jointly organized a round table on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the Ideology of Azerbaijaniism”.

Dean of the Faculty associate-professor Ibrahim Kazımbeyli gave information on the plan of events to be held on the occasion of the 96^th anniversary of the birthday of Heydar Aliyev, national leader of the Azerbaijani people. He said that Heydar Aliyev was a politician with his own traits in the political system. He said that the national-spiritual and political heritage may be studied from many points of view. His fore-sighted policy is directed to national thinking, ideology of Azerbaijaniism. He also mentioned the work performed under the guide of Heydar Aliyev connected with the national interests.

Professor Əskər Zeynalov, head of the Chair of the Caucasian Studies, spoke on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the Literature of Azerbaijan”, associate-professors of the chair Şəlalə Bağırova, Xatirə Hacıyeva, Qorxmaz Mustafayev spoke respectively about “Heydar Aliyev’s policy of national unity”, “Heydar Aliyev – saviour of the modern Azerbaijan”, “Heydar Aliyev and formation of the ideology of Azerbaijaniism”, teacher of the chair  Aygün Həsənova spoke on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the policy of youth”.

The round table ended with discussions.
