Academician Kamal Abdulla, rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, met Victor Sederkeny, ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan. They conducted discussions connected with the opening of the Hungarian Centre in Azerbaijan University of Languages. It was noted that the purpose of the Centre is to provide the students with resources who study Hungarian language and culture and to support the activities of the teachers. It was stressed that the foundation of the Hungarian Centre will contribute to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary. Students and teachers may meet scholars from Hungary, as well as have lessons and other activities there.

          Rector Kamal Abdulla said that opening of a centre of the Azerbaijani language and culture in one of the universities of Hungary is one of their goals. At the same time teaching of the Azerbaijani language in one of the universities of Hungary is necessary and important.

          The ambassador met the suggestion of the rector positively and said that he will take necessary steps in this direction.
