Academician Kamal Abdulla, Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages Met the Deputy Prime Minister of Romania. Opening Ceremony of the Centre of the Romanian Language and Culture in Azerbaijan University of Languages

There was held an opening ceremony of the centre of the Romanian language and culture at Azerbaijan University of Languages. Before the opening ceremony there was held a conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania. Ms. Ana Birchall, Romanian deputy prime minister, Dan Iancu, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of Romania to Azerbaijan, Azay Guliyev, head of the Azerbaijani-Romanian inter-parliamentary working group, member of the Azerbaijani parliament, Etibar Najafov, head of the Department of International Relations, Multiculturalism and Affairs of Religion in the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan, Emil Constantinescu, ex-president of Romania and others took part in the ceremony.

         Rector of the University Kamal Abdulla appreciated the opening of the centre of the Romanian language and culture as a significant event at the University. The rector noted that the University expands the number of centres of Foreign languages and culture with one more centre. According to him, the Romanian language is taught at Azerbaijan University of Languages, and the students are learning this language with great enthusiasm and pleasure. As a result of the purposeful policy of presidents Ilham Aliyev and Klaus Yohan mutual relations founded by the national leader Heyder Aliyev between the two states have deepened. Opening of the centre will tell its own word in the broad context of the Azerbaijani-Romanian relations and will be a strong and useful direction.

When we propagate any language and culture at Azerbaijan University of Languages, our desire is to create conditions for the propagation of our language and culture in that country.The Romanian side accepted our request with  pleasure.  We hope that in the nearest  future we shall take part in the opening of the centre of the Azerbaijani language and culture in the one of the universities of Romania.  The opening of this centre in our University is a great event in the real meaning of the word. Our teachers and students will do their best for the comprehensive activity of the centre. Opening of the centre of the Romanian  language and culture is one of the manifestations of expression of the relations of the Azerbaijani-Romanian friendship.  This, at the same time, is the striking

 manifestations of relations of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Romania and our peoples.  And finally, it is the manifestation of the foundation of relations to be created and developed by the youths of Azerbaijan and Romania in future. Deputy premier of Romania Ana Birchal made an extensive speech on the occasion of 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between the two states.  Ana Birchal highly appreciated the opening of the centre of the Romanian language and culture at Azerbaijani University of Languages and expressed  her gratitude to the administration of the University and the students. Azay Guliyev, head of the Azerbaijani-Romanian inter-parliamentary working group, member of the Azerbaijani parliament, Etibar Najafov, head of the Department of International Relations, Multiculturalism and Affairs of Religion in the Administration  of the President of Azerbaijan, ex-president of Romania  Emil Constantinescu stressed that the political, economic, scientific-cultural relations between the two countries are developing on a rising line, attracted  the attention of the participants that several projects have been implemented into life within the past ten years.

Then the participants of the ceremony were tasted the food of the Nouruz table and communicated with students who were learning the Romanian language at Azerbaijan University of Languages.
