The First of March is celebrated as the Day of International Civil Defense. An event dedicated to the International Day of Civil Defense was held on March 1, 2019  in Azerbaijan University of Languages. It was organized by the chair of the Civil Defense and ABC of Medicine of the University headed by PhD in medicine Sevda  Zamanova. She spoke about the traditional nature of the event  annually  held jointly with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.She signified the importance of the event and spoke about history of the organization. Colonel Gudrat Agayev, deputy chief of Sumgayit Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations underlined the importance of the state-run work in this area. Advisor of rector  Anar Osmanli spoke about the event, knowledge and skills of students to be acquired in this field and expressed his gratitude to the guests. Then a scene prepared by the senior teacher of the chair Sevda Musayeva together with the students of Group 326a  was demonstrated. It was welcomed by the participants.  The visual aids brought by guests  were displayed by making the students wear them. At the end S.Zamanova expressed her gratitude to the administration of the University, the guests and all the organisers of the event. It should be noted that some  guests, teachers and students of the University took part at the event.
