V International multiculturalism Summer School has been successfully completed

V international multiculturalism summer school, entitled "Intercultural Dialogue in the Context of Religious and Cultural Diversity - Interfaith Harmony in Azerbaijan" has been successfully completed.

A press conference was held at the Baku International Multiculturalism Center on July 30, AZERTAC reported.

Chairman of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC), academician Kamal Abdullayev said at the press conference that President Ilham Aliyev's recommendation was adopted at the V International Multiculturalism Summer School, organized jointly by the UNESCO, Erasmus +, ALADDIN project and Azerbaijan's Young Friends Club Approximately 60 students from leading universities of 26 countries attended the event. They have been closely acquainted with the tolerant, multicultural mood in Azerbaijan, exchanged views on the social, political and cultural processes taking place both in our country and in the world.

It was noted that the project of international multiculturalism winter and summer schools is a continuation of the project "Teaching of the subject of Azerbaijan multiculturalism abroad" and the country's universities. Within the framework of the project, winter and summer schools are organized for 15 students and 38 prestigious universities in Azerbaijan. The main goal is to create the conditions for these young people to see and be witness in our country where multicultural and tolerant values are preserved.

Kamal Abdullayev noted that the participants of the summer school, who are closely acquainted with our country, are members of the Youth Club of Azerbaijan. We deliver them the truth of Azerbaijan. They also spread these truths in their own countries. This club is actively involved in a number of political and social processes around the world. The Club of Young Friends of Azerbaijan has a unique role in regulating the attitude towards our country internationally.

Speaking at a press conference, UNESCO's Special Advisor, Abe Radkin noted the importance of summer and winter schools. He emphasized that Azerbaijani multiculturalism is an example for the world countries. Special adviser to the UNECO General Director noted the importance of promoting multicultural, tolerant values in other countries in Azerbaijan.

Abe Radkin noted that the summer school was successfully completed and he believes that this important project will continue in the future.
