Recently, director of the Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages Ms. Li Jinhua and head of the Department of  Foreign Languages of the School of Regional Studies and International Relations of AUL  Salman Nuriyev  took part in the XI World Congress  of  Confucius Institute situating in China's Kunmin city. The Congress which was attended by more than 2400 participants representation more than 5000 Confucius Institute in 140 countries, Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council of People's Republic of China (PRC) Liu Yandong spoke about the priority areas of development   of Confucius Institute, and support the development of information resources, as well as stressed the importance of organization of summer camps and Day of the Confucius Institute.

Our representatives taking part in various sections dedicated to the activity of Confucius Institutes in the countries of the Great Silk Road met with the rector of Xucjou University Zhang Litsin. Zhang Litsin highly praised the work of the Confucius Institute at AUL and thanked the leadership and the employees for their productive activities.

For  the director of  the Confucius Institute  at AUL, Professor Rafig Abbasov one of the main activities of the Confucius Institute at AUL is  carrying out scientific research connected with participation of Azerbaijan  in the realizing of  holding "One Belt, One Path" initiative targeting  to establish  China's Trans-Eurasian economic and transport corridors . He said that last year, the Confucius Institute at AUL held more than 20 seminars dedicated to the partnership of Azerbaijan with China in the political, economic and cultural areas.
