Seminar on “Religion in France” was Held

On January 19, an online seminar on "Religion in France" was held under the joint organization of the lawyer of the specialized Committee dealing with Refugees in Paris Fidan Khalilova, and senior teacher of France Information Center and the Department of Regional Studies Shafa Abdurrahimova. Fidan Khalilova said that France is a secular country that has a constitutional right to freedom of conscience, adding that religion is separate from the state. During the seminar,the  religious situation in France was compared with other European countries. At the same time, it was spoken about the decisions made in France in connection with the religion of Islam, the people of other religions living there, and what problems they faced for their religious affiliation. The students’ questions were answered during the interactive event.
