On December 12, the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated at Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​(AUL). Professor Afgan Abdullayev, Vice- Rector for Academic Affairs of University described the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev's memory day as the saddest day in the life of our people. He mentioned the Great Leader’s unprecedented services in the formation of independent Azerbaijan and of our statehood. He mentioned   as well as in all the other  spheres , a new  policy  began  in the  field  of education with the Great  Leader’s return to the  Government for the second time, and Azerbaijan  University of Languages ​​is also one of the higher educational institutions  established by him. A.Abdullayev added that the education of young people abroad and implementation of the state program in this direction are the result of a far-sighted policy of the Great Leader, which promoted broad prospects for education. As the guest of the event the  Representative of the Department for  Social and Political Issues of the President Administration Vusal Guliyev dwelt on the enormous political activity  of the Great Leader during  the Soviet period  and the years of independence. According to him, when the Great Leader worked in the Soviet governmental bodies Azerbaijan was of a great importance  power. Objects of different importance were settled in the territory of our country and the Azerbaijani language  was  as the State  Language  in the Constitution. V. Guliyev also talked about the services of the Great Leader in socio-political, economic, educational and cultural spheres, as well as, in healthcare, formation of army and many other suchlike. The event ended with answering the questions of the students.
