History of Establishment

Information Centre named George Sand was established in 1997 by joint cooperation of the Embassy of the Republic of France in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan University of Languages.

Main aim of the establishment of Information Centre named George Sand is creation an opportunity for students, teachers and francophone users to use encyclopedic collections, dictionaries, audio and video cassettes, books and internet services in French.


Rules of utilization of the Centre
Working regime of Centre

1.Working time:
• Monday - 11:00-16:00
• Tuesday - 11:00-16:00
• Wednesday - 11:00 - 16:00
• Thursday - 11:00-16:00
• Friday - 11:00 - 16:00

2. Holidays: Saturday, Sunday and other non-working days according to Azerbaijan Legislation



Registration

1. Readers can use services of centre after the registration.

2.Required documents:
• Copy of ID card.
• Inquiry from residence
• Phone number receipt
• Two photos (3x4)
• Copy of Student card(for students)
• 2 AZN

3. The membership contains valid card for 24 month.



Materials presentation

1. Reader have to present reader card

2. Materials are given for 3 weeks (21 days).

3. Taking of some documents to home are banned:
• Last issues of periodical press.
• Material marked as useful (marked in green colour).
• Checked documents.

4. The readers have to give information about the problems being in the materials. In other case the readers will be responsible.
