“XIV Republic Conference of Young Researchers and PHD students” took place in AUL

On December 4, XIV Republic conference of young researchers and PHD students was held in AUL. The minister of Education Misir Mardanov, rector of AUL, head of International Relations Committee of Milli Majlis, vice-prsident of PA COE Samad Seyidov , rectors of state and private Universities and other prominent figures of scientific field participated in the conference.

            Before starting the conference Misir Mardanov gave an interview to the journalists: “Different from the first years of our independence today there is a positive environment for the development of science. If at 1960s were not so interested in scientific fields, now they are.”
After the opening speech, Misir Mardanov stated that, the conference was organized by Azerbaijan University of Languages on a high level.  He also added that, such kind of conferences should be held regularly and improved yearly.
Afterwards, M.Mardanov informed the participants of the conference on the results of XIII Republic conference of young researchers and PHD students. He mentioned that more than 300 PHD students and young researchers participated in the conference held in Azerbaijan University of Economy on March 6-7, 2009. The minister of Education signed relevant referees on giving certificates of Ministry of Education to 43 PHD students and young researchers for their active participation in the conference, giving laptops to 3 of them thanking the section chairmen. The materials of the conference were published by Azerbaijan University of Economy and distributed among the Universities and participants of the conference.
In his turn rector of AUL Samad Seyidov thanked the minister of Education Misir Mardanov for his decision to hold this conference at Azerbaijan University of Languages. He talked on the reforms being done at the university as well: “Today our University can compete with many well-known Universities of the world. We have always been appreciating education and knowledge. 2008 and 2009 were declared education years at AUL and these years lots of important work was done on the educational field.”
The deputy minister of the Ministry of Education of  the Republic of Azerbaijan Irada Huseynova , The rector of Azerbaijan Pedagogical University , the corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences professor Yusif Mammadov and others spoke on the significance of the conference and its future contribution to the development of science and education in Azerbaijan.
It is worth to mention that the conference continued for two days and the representatives of 24 educational institutions took an active part in it.
