On October 27 the associates of Research Centre of Strategic Policy (RCSP) met with the students of Regional Studies and International Relations at Information Resource Complex of AUL.The associates of Research Centre of Strategic Policy Gulshan Pashaeva and Zaur Shiriev, dean of the department of Regional Studies and International Relations Majid Aliev and the professor-student staff of the department participated in that ceremony. The purpose of the ceremony was to inform the students on the activities of RCSP and help them in choosing their field of activity.RCSP was established on November 12, 2007 on the basis of the decree of President of Azerbaijan as the first non-commercial centre.
Those participating in the ceremony stated that this kind of think-tanks in many states assist in determining the strategy of states. The main activity of these centres is to observe the events in their region, analyze, a well as to give recommendations to their state administration and institutions.
The dean of the department of Regional Studies and International Relations assistant professor Majid Aliyev said that
although the priority direction of RSIN department is towards the European studies, now America and Middle East are also studied and specialists are being trained in these fields: "Our graduates are working abroad and in many governmental institutions of our country. We are very proud that the department has gained so much success in such a short period”.The associate of the Foreign Policy Planning of RCSP Gulshan Pashaeva noted that there are a lot of opportunities in the centre the train AUL students. Emphasizing the existence of open -minded students in AUL, she stressed that there would come famous political reviewers, political figures out of them and RCSP is always ready to give them a chance in the centre: The students can introduce us their projects. “If their projects are accepted we can give them a futher chance to realize them.”
The ceremony went on with the discussion of Karabakh conflict and other problems and role of Azerbaijan in International arena.
