On 21st of January Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Member of Parliament and Chairman of Azerbaijani Delegation at the PA CE Prof. Samad Seyidov held a meeting with Ex-Chairman of Belgian senate Mrs. Ann Mari Lizin. Belgian-Azerbaijan mutual relations and Azerbaijan-EU cooperation perspectives were the topic of the meeting. Opening the meeting Professor S. Seyidov said that Azerbaijan-Belgian relations are developing in a very dynamic way and added that there is a good chance of concerning these relations to the education area. It is possible to arrange video-conferences, debates using resources of AUL.
Further professor Samed Seyidov gave detailed information to Mrs. A. M. Lizin about AUL. He noted that besides different languages of the World, different cultures, history, political systems and modern policy of other countries are taught at AUL. Speaking of mutual cooperation with different Universities of Europe Rector S. Seyidov expressed his desire on collaboration with Belgian Universities.
In her turn Mrs. Ann Mari Lizin talked about using recourses of AUL on establishing educational relations between the two countries. Further touching upon Azerbaijan-Belgian relations she noted that there are broad perspectives to improve them.
Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Belgian Philip Jotter also took part in the meeting.
